Under the title Konya Tuesday Talks, the activities carried out within the framework of the program organized by BEMDER (Başak–Elmas Alumni Association), which focuses on the theme of Principles and Practices of Islamic Finance, are conducted as part of the Council of Higher Education’s (YÖK) Social Contribution Activities aimed at transferring the academic knowledge of the Marmara University Institute of Islamic Economics and Finance to society.
Within this framework, seminars are delivered by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Yusuf Erdem Gezgin, a faculty member of our Institute, addressing Islamic economics, participation finance, and the fiqh dimensions of contemporary economic issues. These activities are carried out within the scope of our institute’s institutional approach, which aims to expand its social contribution efforts—extending beyond Istanbul to both national and international audiences—based on the principles of accessibility, continuity, and quality.
