Our Institute Director and Deputy Chairman of the TKBB Central Advisory Board, Prof. Dr. Ertuğrul Boynukalın, has been elected as a member of the Shari'ah Board of the Accounting and Auditing Organization for Islamic Financial Institutions (AAOIFI) for the term 2024-2028.

Established in 1991, AAOIFI is among the most important international organizations in the field of Islamic Economics and Finance, responsible for developing and issuing standards for the global Islamic finance industry.

AAOIFI has issued a total of 100 standards in the areas of jurisprudence, accounting, auditing, ethics, and governance for international Islamic finance. Supported by a range of institutional members, including central banks and regulatory authorities, financial institutions, accounting and auditing firms, and law firms from over 45 countries, these standards are currently followed by all leading Islamic finance institutions worldwide.
